Ode Abode: Where Music Lives

An easy arrangement of the old hymn, this duet gives the beginning pianist the opportunity to play along with the teacher or another student. This arrangement is also appropriate for a student recital or other performance. Some of the techniques that are featured include single octave work (using two hands); two part single hand harmonies only using up to three notes at a time; the use of quarter notes, half notes, eighth notes, and quarter rests; some dynamic contrast; and Ritardando at the end. This arrangement is in ABA form with an introduction. No pedaling or special articulations are required.
